The 4th edition of the seminar “Cryogenic Liquids as Energy Carriers” was held on December 11th, 2018 ( Seminar Program )
Attendees enjoyed an overview on the utilization of hydrogen for electricity storage and power to gas technologies and related government supported programs (given by Dr. Jacques Saint-Just, Expert for the European Commission and IEA – H2 plus Ltd). Air Liquide and Tecnimont presented the use of hydrogen for large scale zero-emission transportation and the development of the DCCD™ technology for natural gas purification, respectively. Pr. Richter from Bochum University illustrated some of the brilliant results his research team achieved by both the measuring and modeling of thermophysical properties of liquefied natural gas. Finally, CTP pointed out its 20years and challenge-driven research activity in the field of cryogenics and low-temperature phase equilibria and one of its major outcomes, the Joint Industry Project “Evaluation of the crystallization risk in LNG production”.
